80 Entry (D Sqn) 

Stu started his operational career in 1962 at Gütersloh on 14 Sqn (Hunters) after passing the No 82 Hunter Course at Chivenor. Remaining on Hunters, in 1965 he was posted to West Raynham on 1 Sqn then 54 Sqn. In 1968 he returned to Gütersloh on II (AC) Sqn flying Tactical Reconnaissance.

In 1973 he was a Flt Cdr on 3 (F ) Sqn (Harrier) at Wildenrath. He retired in 1977 after the Squadron moved to RAF Gütersloh and moved to America where he remained until he passed away aged 85.
