Hugh Anthony Caillard

We regret to announce the passing of AVM Hugh Anthony (Tony) Caillard CB RAF who died peacefully on 27 June 2022 aged 95. Beloved husband of Margaret-Anne (née Crawford), father of Richard, Andrew, David and John, and grandfather to many.

A member of 46 Entry (C Sqn), Tony graduated on 8th April 1949.  He was posted to 204 AFS Driffield in 1949 (Twin Engine Multi Purpose Course on Mosquitos). His career included OC 39 Sqn with Canberra PR 9s from Jun 65 to Mar 67 and he was promoted to AVM on 1st January 1980. He retired on 8th May 1982
