Tony Edmunds

We regret to announce that Tony Edmunds of 69 Entry (C Sqn) passed away on 23rd November 2022.
Tony’s first tour was with 14 Sqn (Gutersloh) flying Hunters. In 1962 he was posted to the CFS
followed by tours at 1 FTS (Linton on Ouse) and White Waltham.
After a year at HQ Training Command, he was promoted to
Sqn Ldr to become OC Flying at 5 MU (Kemble) flying the Hunter again (amongst others).
In Jan 1972 he served at HQ Air Cadets (Brampton) before a tour at Boscombe Down. In 1979, he was again posted to Gutersloh as Sqn Ldr Ops before becoming Divisional Air Liaison Officer. Promoted to Wg Cdr in 1985,
he was Air Attaché Cairo before his final tour at the Defence Export Service Organisation (DESO).
Tony retired in 1991.
